“One of the greatest values of mentors is the ability to see ahead what others cannot see and to help them navigate a course to their destination.”

— John C. Maxwell

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to provide underserved and underrepresented Berea College STEM-H students the opportunity to develop a path and grow in the direction of their future career field through the guidance of someone who has already been through that particular journey. It is the goal of the Yahng Discovery Center to help students achieve their dreams and advance their careers by providing students with a high level of academic and social support so that students may leave the mentorship program with more guidance, confidence, information, and insight on their future endeavors.
