“One of the greatest values of mentors is the ability to see ahead what others cannot see and to help them navigate a course to their destination.”— John C. Maxwell
Our mission is to provide underserved and underrepresented Berea College STEM-H students the opportunity to develop a path and grow in the direction of their future career field through the guidance of someone who has already been through that particular journey. It is the goal of the Yahng Discovery Center to help students achieve their dreams and advance their careers by providing students with a high level of academic and social support so that students may leave the mentorship program with more guidance, confidence, information, and insight on their future endeavors.
We are accepting applications on a rolling basis.
You can also download, print, and apply. Return printed applications to Jon Saderholm in MAC 237.
If you are a Berea alumni and you would like to mentor a current Berea student, apply as a mentor!
Students have the option of participating in the mentorship through the Yahng Discovery Center, the Nursing Program, or the Berea College-Vanderbilt University Mentoring Program.

This path is for junior and senior Berea College students who are on the nursing track and would benefit from the opportunity of learning from a graduate nurse.
