Serving the local Berea community also include our College Students! Below are some resources to help you find internships, studying, and volunteering!
Internships are a great way to get experience in field you are interested in pursuing as careers. It allows you to apply what you are learning in the classroom to a real life experience. You are able to network with professionals, develop specific skills needed in your role, build you resume, and receive professional feed back.
Here are a few resources to help you find that:
NSF funds a large number of research opportunities for undergraduate students through its REU Sites program. An REU Site consists of a group of ten or so undergraduates who work in the research programs of the host institution. Each student is associated with a specific research project, where he/she works closely with the faculty and other researchers.
Science.gov is a gateway to government science information provided by U.S. Government science agencies, including research and development results.
With a science internship, you can observe and experiment your way to a deeper understanding of the physical and natural world. Science interns learn the tools to land their dream job in the lab, the classroom, or the field. On a typical day, you might conduct research, collect and analyze data, develop models, and/or educate others.
